My Background
Fredrick Katelnikoff is a life-long Alaskan. Born and raised in Kodiak, Fred brings decades of hands-on, real world experience to his teaching. Combining his professional experiences and knowledge gained from his work as a Public Safety Officer in rural Alaska in addition to bear guiding and training, Fred understands the importance of navigating quickly changing circumstances and empowering others to do the same. His years of work in management and security in healthcare have provided Fred with diverse, practical, and successful application of how to handle some of the most complex situations. An influential part of his work in healthcare included developing a workplace violence prevention program which has since been replicated throughout the state. As the founder and trainer for First Responder Personal Protection, LLC, Fred is eager to improve the lives of others by sharing his knowledge and experience in workplace violence prevention and communication skills when working in critical conditions.
